Angie is one of our Medical Assistants at the office and has a background in print and broadcast journalism with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Angie has occupied both administrative and clinical roles at the office, but truly excels when it comes to direct patient care. In 2017 she transitioned over to the clinical side. She gained the motivation from seeing the important work being done here, she wanted to be fully involved. She said she found inspiration for patient care from her mother who was a nurse. After one too many ‘bring your daughter to work days’ Angie knew nursing might not be exactly what she wanted to do. However, becoming a certified medical assistant was her perfect happy medium. Angie says she truly enjoys coming to work each day. “I like working at a small office where there is a relaxed atmosphere. We are a family, and it makes coming to work enjoyable”.
When Angie is not busy caring for patients at the office, Angie enjoys spending time with her beautifully blended family. Her and her fiancé have 4 boys ages 19, 18, 17, and 7. Her older kids are mostly independent but her 7-year-old is autistic and requires her to be more hands on. Speaking on behalf of the staff, we enjoy watching her youngest grow and hearing about his accomplishments.
Angie also has a small animal brigade at home, two dogs and one turtle. She is also Cincinnati born and raised which means she is a proud Bengals and Reds fan, win or lose! 4 boys mean she can often be found at the grocery store! Although, she would much rather be outdoors playing with the kids or gardening in her vegetable garden.
We joke at the office, saying Angie probably enjoys coming to work just so she can get a little estrogen in her life with all those boys at home! All jokes aside, Angie is a wonderful asset to our clinical team- make sure you say hi to her next time you are in the office!
